At The Mirror Company we believe that no company should ever forget the traditional craft of the Fine Art of Framing. As a family run business involved with the Framing and restoration of Fine Art and Frames for many years we regularly carry out restoration of some of the finest Frames.

Our workshop restoration team includes dedicated full-time frame restorers with over twenty years experience of working for museums as well as private clients. We are able to handle any volume of work from single pieces through to large contract insurance restorations of oil paintings and printed works of all sizes and periods.

This large Victorian gilt composition overmantle French mirror arrived broken and in many pieces with little to no gilding work visible. The client left it in our very capable hands and the result is one of the most stunning mirrors that we have handled to date:

Re-gilded in 23.5 carat English Gold leaf, the highlights have been water-gilded and polished to the World’s most desirable gold leaf finish - a skill most prized in frame restoration.
